Fine Art: Pen and Ink Pieces

Dirty Whore and the Dragon I drew this design up for SleeveMasters to put on the sleeves of the new long-sleeve t-shirts. Originally, I was just going to do some hot-rod flames, but Billy convinced me that I should put a little more work into it. So of course, I always rise to the challenge. 16x16in. Finished March 2006.

Demon Me This is one of my largest pointallism projects. It was originally produced with the intent of being a t-shirt. The t-shirt was scrapped by the company and I was left with this as a really big waste of time. The project turned out really nice though. Some of you may remember it from my first Halloween Party invitations! 16x16in.

SEX Back to college and one of my early projects in "Life Drawing." We all had to pick a topic out of a hat and draw our view of that topic as it would relate to "Life Drawing." I happened to pick out SEX. 14x17in.

Arcana I was in the mood to do a medieval piece and also wanted to try my hand at drawing a horse, as it had been my high school art teacher's passion. This is again a pointalism project, the entire piece is finished in hand made dots. I later used this piece for a layout class assignment and as a t-shirt for the band Arcana Diamond, hence the title. 16x20in.

Rebirth This selection is a project that I began in High School as a project with Nathan Slaughter and Jim Schweitzer. We each created a pointalism of our own hand reaching up from the ground. I don't think any of us finished the pictures in the time that we intended. I didn't finish mine until freshman year of college. The dates on the headstone behind the hand are the day I was born and the day I finished the drawing. The dates didn't turn out quite as I anticipated, but the overall piece is still one of my favorites. 14x17in.
